I knocked this together in about half an hour after planning it for a day. I think it's quite a cool idea but I'm not sure if this would work in real life. I guess there's only one way to find out - build it for real!

The skimmer is an aquatic vehicle developed by aliens for use on earth (or any other planet which many consists of runny liquid). It has a dish at the bottom which spins at very high speeds, like the surface of a spinning pebble and this allows it to bounce along a flat surface of water at great speed. It is propelled by two laser jets, and a third is mounted horizontally to counteract the movement of the dish. It is piloted by a test driver alien and is currently undergoing tests for performance, handling and safety before it is put into production...
