April 2008 Challenge: ACTION DIORAMA
The key word here is ACTION!
Using minifigs, vehicles, and structures from any theme(s) of your choice, build a diorama that depicts a specific action or event. The easiest example would be a battle or siege. If, however, you're of a more nonviolent persuasion, you might depict a sports competition, a race, a historic event, or a manufacturing process, just as long as it's ACTIVE.

Requirements:
04_APR-2008 - BrickiWiki
-Use of at least two of the following:
  • Minifigs
  • Vehicles
  • Structures
-ACTION - something must be happening.
  • A raging battle is active
  • All your troops posing in neat lines for a pretty picture isn't
-All people/vehicles/structures must be LEGO (or offbrand stuff, such as MegaBlocks)
  • using other materials for terrain is totally ok. I happen to know a guy who likes to photo all of his castle MOC's on a green Afghan blanket ;-)
-If you want to show an air/space/sea battle, feel free to photoshop your various ships/stations over a neutral background.

Really try to explore new possibilities with posing your LEGO people. They don't all have to be perfectly perpendicular with the rows of studs on your baseplates. They could be running jumping, doing kart-wheels! How can your lego knight hold his shield in a way that's really going to protect him from that fire breathing dragon? Go nuts!

Best of luck, and let's see some really ACTIVE work out there!"

Just thought I'd throw my own diorama up for kicks. It's not an official entry of course.

It was a very fun dio. I really liked the monster and all your little guys coming to the rescue. I will try and post what I built soon but I am still having problems getting my hands on a camera. Any ways, it is not nearly as good as yours. I like your next challenge too but I can't think of any good events in history. Maybe I will do some local historical event. We had lots of submarine activity during WWII so maybe there will be something fun there to do.

I was so hoping to see at least a few more entries. But I know how it is. Sometimes life just attacks. Or perhaps you figured the contest was as good as won. I must admit I feel a jealous shiver every time this month's winner enters the challenge (quite often right after I've entered, I might add).

The winner of the April challenge is Green Arrow! Excellent work Green Arrow. I was absolutely blown away by both your concept and execution. Very creative!
