November 2008 Challenge

1. All ships must seat at least one minifig. Multiple minifigs are fine, but at the very least you need a pilot. (And any minifigs not fully enclosed within a cockpit had better be wearing a space suit!)
2. Think speed. Obviously, sleek-looking craft will get favorable marks, as will ships with impressive engines. Clunky or bulky ships can also do well if they creatively suggest speed (like the Millennium Falcon or some of the podracers from Star Wars). The key is, you can't just say the ship is fast – we have to be able to tell just by looking at it.
3. No weapons, please. These are racers, not fighters.
4. Paint jobs matter. As with their Earth-bound counterparts, space racers should look sharp. Racing stripes, flames, logos, numbers are all encouraged.
5. Bonus points if you also build a pit crew and/or garage (but totally optional).
