WetPaint Continues to Adds Features The WetPaint Photo Gallery
As you may have noticed, a new tab mysteriously popped up on Tuesday night...the
Photo Gallery. This is WetPaint's newest feature, and one that I hope you will all enjoy.
The Photo Gallery is a central place to store all new BrickiWiki photographs. The idea is that wiki users can organize and share their photos with the community. This may seem a little like "old news" for BrickiWiki users as we have been doing this very thing for about two years now. So, let me tell you how the Photo Gallery will help us.
The Photo Gallery allows us to store pictures in
albums...ok, that's pretty simple. But it also allows us to use these pictures in multiple places on the wiki without re-uploading them.
For example, I can load the "who's the winner," JPG into the Photo Gallery once. Then, each time it is needed for new
Monthly Challenges, I can just reference it from the new page. Pretty nifty and efficient if you ask me...which you did by reading this article.

The Photo Gallery will also give us the opportunity to build more aesthetically pleasing gallery pages in our own little spaces. Have you ever gone to a gallery page...like my
Legoratory, for example... and been overwhelmed by the number of pics. Now, BrickiWiki users can add key photos to their personal gallery pages and leave the rest in a corresponding Photo Gallery Album. Then, on the personal gallery page, we can simply link to the album for more pics. I've already done this with the
Fire Drake so you can see what I mean.
So, let's all give this a try and see how we can love it. There is no need to start deleting all your old pics and re-uploading them to the Photo Gallery...the process can be a little slow, especially since everyone else is trying it out now. But, all new photos will automatically be uploaded into the Photo Gallery so you'll definitely get your chance to play with it. Enjoy and have a great day.
