Thread Etiquette

(how to couduct one's self while posting threads)

• A thread is any communication added in response to a Wiki page, appended to the bottom of the page forum style. Replies to these comments also constitute Threads. Threads are used to comment on someone's MOC, to make suggestions about an MOC, to contribute to a LEGO related conversation, or to add your two-cents regarding a planned Wiki event, such as Monthly Challenges.

• The answer is any time you wish. However, Threads should be relevant to LEGOs or to the page onto which the Thread is being appended. Discussions about your dog or girlfriend are not relevant nor appropriate.

• Any information or opinion that you feel might be valuable to the community or individual within the community. Flaming or derogatory comments are inapproprate and will be deleted. However, critiquing an MOC (even a negative critique) is acceptable...just try not to be mean.

• The subject is very important. This will determine whether or not a person will read your Thread. Is the subject relevant? Does it say something to the viewer? Thread subjects should be more than one word. For example, "hey," Its...," and "What about...," are not good Thread subjects; however, "About your June Challenge entry," "Question about that blue piece," and "Joe Bob's Awesome Aircract Carrier," are perfectly acceptable.

• Yes. We still want the input of the world at large. Hopefully, a passerby might find the site interesting enough to join and we wouldn't want to discourage that.
