Just before my son was born in May 2007, I built this Western nameplate/diorama for his bedroom:

Wyatt nameplate
I started with the lettering for his name (tried a dozen different font variations before settling on this one) -- then added the riverbed and Indians below, and then the canyon, mine, and town above. (If you look closely, you can see a skeleton in the bottom of the ravine wearing nothing but a hat and scarf — there's also an Indian who isn't as well hidden as the thinks he is...)

Wyatt town
A closeup of the town. These buildings are only 4 studs deep — it was a challenge to give them apparent depth within those dimensions. Center-left in the middle of the street is my son's namesake, Wyatt Earp. Also about town are Doc Holliday, Al Swearengen from the show Deadwood, Red Harlow from the game Red Dead Revolver, and Wyatt's mother masquerading as Annie Oakley.

Wyatt
Our hero.
